Malta’s Nomad Residence Permit (Digital Nomad Visa) lets non‑EU/EEA/Swiss remote professionals live in Malta while working for employers or clients based abroad. Choose a one‑year residence permit (renewable) or a national visa for stays up to 180 days. Expect an English‑speaking environment, internet, Mediterranean climate, and easy travel across the Schengen Area.

Eligibility:

- Work remotely for a foreign employer, your own company registered outside Malta, or as a freelancer serving foreign clients.

- Minimum gross income of about €2,700 per month (higher if bringing dependants).

- Valid passport, clean police certificate, health insurance, and proof of accommodation.

Documents typically include employment/contract letters, invoices, payslips and/or recent bank statements, CV, and any required apostilles/translations.
